Cenotes in Puerto Morelos are wonders of nature that are worth visiting, not only for the adventure activities you can do there but because they are like an Oasis in the middle of the jungle. They are holes of fresh and crystal water surrounded by the most beautiful tropical flowers, majestic trees and small species of birds, turtles, dragonflies among others.

When you visit a cenote, be sure to explore its surroundings, explore every corner and of course, take your cell phone or a good camera with you. Look closely at the details of the plants, the colors and textures of the flowers and look up to see the treetops, fill your soul with peace and connect with nature like nowhere else.
“All art is but imitation of nature'. -Lucius Annaeus Seneca
One of the best-hidden gems near the cenotes of Puerto Morelos are the orchids. Nature lovers will know that it is not very common to find this type of wildflowers. Orchids are characterized by having flowers with complex shapes and striking colors, as well as having an effective reproduction system for bees and fungi.
“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature'. -Gerard De Nerval
And speaking of bees and mushrooms, close to the cenotes, inhabit many small species that will undoubtedly be a great spectacle for lovers of the details. While swimming, you share the place with metallic blue dragonflies, iguanas, frogs, river turtles, ducks, butterflies, coatis among others. Remember that you are visiting their natural habitat, so it is imperative to respect, take nothing, avoid using chemicals that pollute water and above all, don’t throw garbage.
